Today The Lammas School celebrated World Book Day.
Students participated in a host of events organised by the school’s literacy team. These included:
- ‘My Favourite Book’ assemblies, hosted by staff and featuring students,
- a school Spelling Bee,
- ‘Reading Bingo’,
- a ‘Word and Pictures Workshop’, based on the ‘Carnival Days’ poem by Benjamin Zephaniah, hosted by the Art Department
- and a Year 8 Poetry Workshop.
KS3 students also recreated their favourite book covers both by hand and digitally in ICT lessons.
