Today The Lammas School celebrated World Book Day.
Students participated in a host of events organised by the school’s literacy team. These included:
- âMy Favourite Bookâ assemblies, hosted by staff and featuring students,
- a school Spelling Bee,
- âReading Bingoâ,
- a âWord and Pictures Workshopâ, based on the âCarnival Daysâ poem by Benjamin Zephaniah, hosted by the Art Department
- and a Year 8 Poetry Workshop.
KS3 students also recreated their favourite book covers both by hand and digitally in ICT lessons.
