YEAR 7 CURRICULUM

The GST Curriculum

The Griffin Schools Trust (GST) is a family of primary and secondary schools in the Midlands and the South East of England. We are committed to providing an outstanding independent-style education for all students, predicated on breadth and excellence. All schools provide a rich programme of free extra-curricular activities, create an involving and stimulating physical environment and build a staff team of interesting people who are motivated to advance their own knowledge and skills as well as their pupilsā€™ achievement.

Ā GST schoolsĀ do not teach young people to know their place, but rather to discover their talents and passions and to take their places in society, making a difference through leadership and service wherever their futures may take them.

The Year 7 Curriculum at The Lammas School

As a proud member of Griffin Schools Trust, Lammas School offers students in Year 7 a rich, varied and engaging curriculum.

We maintain a strong focus on English, mathematics and science, which is reflected in the timetable allocations for these three core subjects. However, our students also experience a range of practical and creative subjects including design technology, art, music and drama every week. This balanced approach in Year 7 ensures they develop as individuals, with a range of strengths and talents. Most importantly, the Year 7 curriculum contains real challenge and rigour, building on their primary education to establish and embed the academic foundations that our students will need to go on to success at GCSE, A-Level and University.

Subjects

Each week students in year 7 study the following subjects:

  • Art
  • Computer Science
