>> THE LAMMAS JOURNEY

Since 2022 the Lammas community has continued to work tirelessly to strengthen the quality of provision for its students.

Several modifications have been made to how we work from; changes to the timings of our school day (supported in reducing the number of transitions and increasing focused learning time), to form time being placed at the start of each school day. Our students are supported in developing important skills for self-discipline through revisions to our culture and ethos policy (behaviour) and new student leadership opportunities.

Our student care team has also grown, allowing us to provide our students with bespoke support, be it academic mentoring, art therapy or resilience groups.

Our pastoral curriculum continues to play a key role in equipping our students with the knowledge and skills to become responsible, respectful active citizens who contribute positively to society.

In Years 7-9 students have weekly ethics lessons in which our RSE programmes is delivered. At KS4, this is delivered through form time sessions and our drop-down days. These learning opportunities are further enriched through workshops delivered by a range of organisations including University City London, Shakespeare Schools Foundation, Wise Up, Educate and Celebrate to name just a few.

Mindful the growing need for mental health support within our community, the Lammas school is proud to provide Place2Be counselling. See our Safeguarding page for further details.

We continue to provide a rich and diverse wide horizons programme which has been strengthened through the addition of bespoke programmes such as Teens and Toddlers, Boxing Clever, Future Frontiers, Behind every kick.

In May 2023, we introduced the Duke of Edinburgh Award aimed at empowering our students to acquire new skills, developing their self-confidence and enabling them to become well-rounded active citizens.

Our students continue to play a role in shaping our community through our Student Leadership Programme. We welcome parental involvement through our Parent Leadership Group and fortnightly coffee mornings and afternoon teas. To find out how families can play an active role within the Lammas community, please see our Community Leaders Page.

Our ambitious knowledge rich curriculum extends far beyond the classroom. For details of this and our extensive careers programme, including our partnerships with City Year and the Elephant Group please visit our Curriculum Pages.
