About

The Lammas School is a vibrant and diverse community located in the green space of Jubilee Park within walking distance of Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park.

The Lammas School, a proud member of the Griffin Schools Trust since 2018, has served the local community since the school was established in 2001.

Our popular and successful VI Form offers an inspiring curriculum, which allows students to reach their potential, supports their aspirations and develops leadership. We are a community in which students discover who they are and go on, confidently, to take their places in society. The opportunities here for growth and development are extensive, exciting and engaging. We know that when children and staff find school to be enjoyable and enriching, wonderful communities grow.

At The Lammas School we believe in 100% achievement: every child has the ability to succeed within our positive, supportive and appropriately challenging environment.

This is a dynamic learning community where students’ interests, happiness and wellbeing are our first consideration at all times. Our students are at the heart of everything we do, and we know that they feel valued and empowered by the experiences they share here.

The Lammas School experience is built on the three GST pillars: Proud Traditions, Wide Horizons and High Achievement.

Our Values

Education influences and reflects the values of society, and here at The Lammas School we are creating the kind of society we want to be part of. We value wisdom, courage and leadership, and our culture and ethos underpins these values through our every day expectations of safety, learning and respect. We are building a community which positively encourages kindness, care, good humour and consideration and empathy for others. Students are valued as individuals and supported to achieve at their very best.

Proud Traditions

GST schools are characterised by the development of independence of thought and learning in the pursuit of excellence. Students develop their individual strengths and skills and build the integrity, self-discipline, decision- making and resilience necessary to their own success and that of others.

They develop an understanding of their social responsibility and the scope they have to make a difference in their local communities and as world citizens. Students are able to express their opinions and passions articulately and confidently with due consideration for others.

The Lammas School is an outward thinking, inclusive and creative school with a proud history of outstanding provision and achievement.

Wide Horizons

Students at The Lammas School have free access to an extensive range of curriculum enrichment and extra- curricular activities which broaden their experiences and horizons.

We take part in national events such as the Shakespeare Schools Festival, National Poetry Competition, UK Maths Challenge, Crest Awards, Royal Academy Young Artists Award and Saatchi Young Artists Award. As members of the Griffin Schools Trust family we are proud to be part of the Griffin Sports Festival, the Griffin Arts Festival and to host the Griffin Science Symposium.

High Achievement

Students follow a curriculum that both gives them a firm foundation in the disciplines that support all learning, including exceptional English and mathematics provision, that will allow them success at the highest levels.

We expect most of our students to stay on into our VI Form, with its own facilities and study areas. Our VI Form students are well prepared for their next steps, with the majority choosing to take up degree places and degree level apprenticeships at prestigious institutions.
