Dear Lammas Families
We gave notice in November 2023 that The Lammas School, a member of the Griffin Schools Trust, had taken the difficult decision to consult on closing the Lammas VI Form provision.
Following the closure of the consultation period on 14th December 2023, the Trust Board took into account any responses which had been received. We write to you now to inform you that the Trust intends to close the VI Form provision and has started the formal process required to achieve this.
The Lammas School has suspended the admission of students to the VI Form for the academic year September 2024-2025. The currently enrolled VI Form students will complete their courses at Lammas; this includes the students who started their studies in September 2023, who will continue at The Lammas School until they complete their courses in summer 2025. Year 11 students will continue to be supported to find appropriate Post 16 progression courses for the next academic year.
