NEU Strike Action – School closed to Y7-12
Following a dispute between unions and the Government over teachers’ pay and conditions, the NEU have confirmed a National strike on Wednesday, 1st February. The Lammas School
has carefully assessed the likely impact of this strike action on our operations. Unfortunately, based on the number of staff likely to be absent from work, we have determined that the school will be closed for Year Groups 7- 11 and Lower VI Form. School will remain open for Upper VI Form (Year 13).
Parents/carers of students in these year groups will therefore have to make alternative childcare provision for Wednesday, 1st February 2023. However, the school will be open to Upper VI Form students, our vulnerable students, and children of key workers with food provided for our FSM students. Further information for families regarding arrangements for this day has been sent via our Lammas app.
Whilst we understand the significant inconvenience caused to families and would like to apologise in advance for this, it is regrettably outside the control of the school. Upon studentsā return, we will ensure that they continue to receive a quality provision that secures the very best outcomes.
