Celebrating Progress in GCSE Outcomes

We are celebrating our strongest academic outcomes in three years, as Year 11 students deliver an exceptional performance in their GCSE examinations.

Outcomes continued on a firm upward trajectory across the school, with the Attainment 8 score rising to 40.7, reflecting widespread academic progress across a broad range of subjects.

Key subject highlights include:

  • English and Mathematics: More than one in three students (35.6%) achieved strong passes at grades 5+, an increase of over 10 percentage points compared to last year. The proportion of students securing top grades 7-9 in both subjects saw a remarkable six-fold increase, rising from 2.2% in 2025 to 13.6%.

  • Sciences: Science results shone brightly, with 100% of students achieving at least a grade 4 in both Chemistry and Physics. Furthermore, over half of the cohort secured top grades 7-9.

  • History: History proved to be a standout success story, with outcomes more than doubling from the previous year. An impressive 72% of students achieved grades 5+ and 89% secured grades 4+.

These results are a testament to the hard work, resilience, and ambition of our students, supported by our dedicated staff team and their families. We are incredibly proud of what they have achieved, demonstrating that with high expectations and a supportive community, our young people can truly flourish.
