A select group of our Year 10 students attended the inspiring STEM Waterways Programme at the London Museum Docklands. Run in partnership with the Canal & River Trust (CRT), this fully funded initiative offered our students a unique window into the world of environmental science and infrastructure management.
The educational programme introduced students to how science, engineering and technology are practically applied to care for the UK’s extensive network of canals and rivers. As guardians of these vital ecosystems, the Canal & River Trust provided our pupils with an invaluable understanding of the diverse STEM careers dedicated to protecting our environment.
Throughout the day, Lammas students participated in a series of dynamic, hands-on activities. These practical challenges brought classroom concepts to life, encouraging teamwork, critical thinking, and innovative problem-solving. Our students showed exceptional engagement, exploring how modern engineering solutions can address real-world environmental challenges.
