A group of 23 enthusiastic students recently travelled to Central London for an exclusive visit to the Swiss Embassy near Marble Arch. This special trip provided our young people with a unique insight into international diplomacy and cultural exchange.
Upon arrival, the delegation was warmly welcomed outside the building, marking the occasion with a group photograph alongside the Swiss flag. The students then attended an engaging cultural presentation about Switzerland, which deepened their understanding of the nation’s heritage. They were also delighted to receive official Swiss lanyards and pens as keepsakes.
A key highlight of the day was an interactive team quiz. Students collaborated in groups, choosing French team names to compete across categories including sports, geography, culture, language, economy, and politics. Every student demonstrated fantastic participation and genuine curiosity.
The Lammas School is incredibly proud of how our students conducted themselves, asking thoughtful questions throughout the session. Special congratulations go to Jude, who won the individual competition and received a bespoke Swiss souvenir. Recognition also goes to the winning quiz team: Kofi, Malachi, Khant, Akif, and Eli, who were all awarded iconic red Swiss caps.
The memorable day concluded on a sweet note, with everyone enjoying traditional Swiss chocolate. This experience embodies our commitment to offering a forward-thinking education that expands horizons and connects our classroom learning with the wider world.
