Lammas Year 10 Ambassadors Lead the Way at GST Science Camp

By 6 March 2026No Comments

The inaugural Griffin Schools Trust (GST) Science Camp proved to be a landmark event this week, and our Year 10 Science Ambassadors were at the forefront, guiding the next generation of researchers.

As part of the wider Griffin Science Symposium, students from across the Trust gathered for an immersive two-day STEM experience. While the Year 4 campers explored new horizons, our Year 10 Ambassadors provided vital leadership and support, ensuring every participant felt confident and engaged.

The event launched with an inspiring keynote from Dr Richard Greenwood, a Senior Research Fellow in Planetary Space Sciences at The Open University. Following this, our ambassadors facilitated a whirlwind of activities, including VR space exploration, robotics workshops, and a high-energy “Astronaut Assault Course”. Their role was pivotal in the Galaxy Room, where they helped younger students navigate the wonders of the cosmos.

The journey continued with a trip to the Science Museum in South Kensington. Our Year 10 leaders accompanied the cohort through the Wonderlab, encouraging curiosity and helping to explain the scientific principles behind the interactive exhibits.

Our ambassadors represent the very best of The Lammas School. By mentoring their younger peers, they have demonstrated exceptional professionalism and a genuine passion for discovery.

We are incredibly proud of our Year 10 students for their dedication to this new Proud Tradition. Their contribution has helped create a vibrant community of learning that stretches across the entire Griffin Schools Trust.
