As part of our scholars’ programme, our Year 7 students had the exciting opportunity to attend New Scientist Live, one of the UK’s leading science and technology exhibitions, held at ExCeL London.

The event was packed with inspiring talks and interactive exhibits, giving students a glimpse into the future of innovation. Among the highlights were keynote sessions from renowned naturalist Chris Packham, who spoke passionately about biodiversity and conservation, and science communicator Dr Karl, who brought complex scientific ideas to life with humour and clarity.

Students also engaged with industry experts and university researchers, exploring cutting-edge developments in robotics, space exploration, artificial intelligence, and sustainable technologies. From hands-on experiments to thought-provoking discussions, the trip sparked curiosity and excitement about the possibilities that science and technology hold.

The visit was a fantastic opportunity for our students to connect classroom learning with real-world applications and to be inspired by the people shaping the future.

We’re proud of how enthusiastically Year 7 embraced the experience and look forward to seeing how it influences their learning journey ahead.
