Celebrating Our Progress – Ofsted Monitoring Inspection

By 14 July 2025No Comments

We are delighted to share with you the feedback we received from Ofsted following their recent monitoring visit on 22 May 2025. The inspector recognised the clear and determined progress we are making as a school. We would like to thank you and our students for your ongoing support, which has been vital in helping us move forward with such momentum.

The report highlights a number of significant strengths that demonstrate we are on track for a good judgement at our next full inspection. These include:

  • Stronger leadership and staffing: Since the last inspection, we have built leadership and teaching capacity across the school with the support of the Griffin Schools Trust, allowing us to drive meaningful improvements.
  • An effective curriculum: Staff are better supported to deliver a well-structured curriculum. Our focus on key knowledge and consistent teaching strategies is already making a visible difference in lessons.
  • Improved behaviour and a positive culture: The inspector noted the calm and respectful atmosphere across the school. Students feel safe, supported, and proud of Lammas, and “behaviour in lessons is overwhelmingly positive”.
  • Support for all learners: Students who need extra help are receiving it quickly, and our improved reading programme is helping more students to succeed. We continue to support our students who are new to the country so that they settle in and thrive.
  • Enrichment and wider development: Through our Proud Traditions and Wide Horizon’s commitment, our enrichment programme is giving students opportunities to experience new things, challenge stereotypes, and take on leadership roles through our Community Leaders Programme, that strengthen our community.

We know there is more work ahead, but this report confirms that we are heading in the right direction. The commitment of our students, the support of families, and the dedication of our staff are all key to our continued success.

Thank you again for being such a vital part of our school journey. Together, we remain committed to providing a community that supports every child to thrive and achieve.
