By 4 July 2025No Comments

Students studying triple Science at GCSE recently took part in an inspiring visit to The Royal Observatory and Planetarium in Greenwich. The trip offered a unique opportunity to explore the wonders of space and astronomy, and to see how the theories studied in class connect to the physical world.

Highlights of the day included standing on the historic Prime Meridian, where students stood between the eastern and western hemispheres, and attending an immersive show at the planetarium. This state-of-the-art experience brought the solar system to life in stunning detail.

Throughout the visit, students demonstrated curiosity, enthusiasm and thoughtful enquiry, asking insightful questions that reflected their growing scientific understanding. Their conduct and engagement were a credit to the school.

Trips such as this are a vital part of our commitment to taking science beyond the classroom, as we aim to inspire the next generation of researchers, innovators and critical thinkers.
