Empowering Drop Day Sessions

By 2 July 2025No Comments

Our recent Drop Day proved to be an inspiring success, offering students a dynamic opportunity to step beyond their regular curriculum and delve into crucial topics of personal development, safety, and wellbeing. This specially curated day provided real-world knowledge, practical advice, and vital space for reflection on issues that deeply impact their lives.

Throughout the day, students engaged in a diverse range of sessions. In partnership with local police, workshops on stop and search empowered students with an understanding of their rights and fostered positive interactions with authority. Our personal safety sessions equipped students with practical strategies for navigating various situations, from independent travel to public spaces. A vital anti-bullying session encouraged open dialogue, promoting an even more inclusive and respectful school community.

Health and wellbeing were central to the day’s focus. Students explored mental health awareness, learned about healthy lifestyle choices, and discovered strategies for managing stress. Practical sessions on cycling awareness highlighted road safety and responsible riding. We also championed active lifestyles through activities demonstrating the numerous benefits of physical movement and how to integrate regular exercise into daily routines.

Well done to all the students involved. Their maturity, curiosity, and respect throughout the day were truly commendable. We are incredibly proud of how thoughtfully they engaged with every topic and supported one another in meaningful discussions.
