A team of Lammas girls recently took part in a Rugby Festival hosted at the Eton Manor RFC grounds.
For many of our students, this was their first time playing rugby, and they approached the challenge with confidence, energy and real determination. The festival provided a brilliant opportunity to break down barriers and show that rugby is most certainly not just for the boys.
The event was a celebration of teamwork, resilience, and new experiences. Our girls quickly found their rhythm on the pitch, and the sense of camaraderie and achievement was clear to see. Their enthusiasm hasnât stopped at the final whistle either, many have now expressed interest in joining the local club team, keen to keep developing their skills and build on this positive momentum.
This is just the beginning of what we know will be a growing presence for girlsâ rugby at Lammas. Weâre excited to support this journey, knowing that sport plays a powerful role in building confidence, leadership and community.
Well done to all involved, youâve set a brilliant example for others to follow.
