During National Careers Week, The Lammas School embraced the empowering theme “You Can,” delivering an unforgettable experience that connected students with real world success stories. Through a diverse and inspiring line up of guest speakers, students were shown that with ambition, perseverance, and passion, doors to success can be opened in every field.
Our school was proud to host professionals from various industries, from law and finance to music, real estate, and entrepreneurship. Each speaker shared their unique journey, providing students with a glimpse of how their own aspirations can be turned into achievements.
Highlights from Careers Week included:
- Joanna Hughes, who charted her path from a state school to a successful legal career, and Ebele Okubi, a corporate lawyer with experience working with a non-profit women’s rights organisation and Nike.
- Yvonne Haberlach offered a window into the finance sector, while Kalbir Bains, an acclaimed author, policy adviser, and human rights activist, moved students with her story of advocacy and resilience, reinforcing the message that every student has the potential to effect change.
