Year 7 Students Embrace Creative French Learning

By 31 January 2025No Comments

This week, Year 7 students at Lammas School have been showcasing their creativity and language skills in fun and interactive French lessons! As part of their ongoing learning, the students have been focusing on physical and personality descriptions in French – and they’ve found exciting ways to practise.

To make language learning more engaging, students took part in a lively game of Guess Who? – entirely in French! They described characters’ appearances and personalities, using their newly learned vocabulary to ask clever questions and guess the identity of their classmates’ chosen figures. The game not only helped them sharpen their speaking skills but also added a competitive and enjoyable twist to their learning experience.

In addition to the Guess Who? game, students put their artistic talents to the test by creating “wanted” posters for imaginary people. These posters were filled with detailed French descriptions, showcasing everything from hair colour and eye shape to personality traits and hobbies. The students had the chance to present their work to the class, practicing both speaking and writing skills while having fun with the creative process.

We’re incredibly proud of how enthusiastically our Year 7 students have embraced these activities. Their imaginative posters and their use of French during the game demonstrate their growing confidence and excitement about learning a new language.

Well done, Year 7! Keep up the great work!
