Our students have kicked off the new half-term with outstanding sporting achievements, showing that even though the skies may be grey, their talent and determination continue to shine.
Students from Years 9 to 11 participated in the National All Faiths Unity Cup. Competing across two 5-a-side football teams, our students demonstrated incredible resilience on the pitch. Their teamwork and dedication earned them well-deserved praise from both opponents and supporters alike.
Our students have hit the ground running and marked the start of the basketball season with triumph. Our Year 11 girls showed remarkable courage in a challenging match. After a tough first half, the team rallied together to stage an impressive comeback, securing a 34-26 victory over Leyton Sixth Form, a win that will no doubt provide a boost as they face tougher competition in the coming weeks.
The Year 8 girlsâ team, last yearâs runners-up as Year 7 finalists, also started their campaign with a convincing 24-12 win against Leytonstone. Their determination to go even further this season is evident, and we look forward to seeing how they progress.
Meanwhile, the Year 10 boysâ basketball team secured a thrilling 58-51 victory over George Mitchell. Having been runners-up for the past two years, they are more motivated than ever to take that final step and bring home the championship.
Our students continue to demonstrate resilience, teamwork, and an unwavering commitment to excellence, and weâre excited to see what the rest of the season holds for them!
