The first two weeks of the new school year have flown by, and our new Year 7 students are settling in remarkably well at Lammas School. It has been heart warming to see how kind and supportive they have been to each other during what can often be a daunting period of transition. Already, strong bonds are being formed, and itās clear that many students are laying the foundation for lifelong friendships.
In the classroom, our Year 7s have been working hard, showing enthusiasm and dedication to their studies. They have embraced new subjects, diving into lessons and exploring skills and content beyond what they studied in primary school. From mastering the kitchen in Food Technology to designing creative projects in Design Technology, reflecting on moral questions in Ethics, and staying active in Sport and Exercise, students have been eager to learn and grow in these exciting areas.
Beyond the classroom, itās wonderful to see so many Year 7s taking advantage of the wide range of extracurricular clubs on offer. From Football to Cooking Club, Design Club, and many more, students are making the most of these opportunities to try new activities and develop their interests outside of lessons.
As the first weeks have shown, the future is bright for our Year 7 cohort. Parents and carers, please donāt hesitate to email if you have any questions or concerns regarding your child’s progress. Letās continue to support our students as they embark on this exciting new chapter in their educational journey.
Keep up the great work, Year 7!
