The perfect Season: 7 Games – 7 Wins!
Our under 15s cricket team were victorious in the Waltham Forest cricket final beating Walthamstow Academy in a nail biting finish. Walthamstow Academy batted first scoring 115 of their 20 overs. Lammas chased down their total having lost 9 wickets with just the one ball left.
Excellent batting from A. Waseem and H. Ali scoring 33 and 10 respectively as the opening batters put us in a strong position before a mid order collapse. Emaan Afzal steadied the score and anchored the innings scoring 16. With 6 balls to go Lammas needed 5 runs but could not afford to lose any more wickets. Ashal Waseem hit a 4 followed by 2 more runs with one ball spare, this gave Lammas the trophy.
An excellent achievement by all boys involved.
