Thirty Year 9 students had the exciting opportunity to visit Bain Capital, a leading investment firm and proud sponsor of City Year and our school. This visit came at a pivotal moment in their educational journeys, providing invaluable exposure to the world of finance and professional networking.
The day began with a comprehensive tour of Bain Capitalās impressive offices, guided by the facilities team. Students marvelled at the modern workspaces and learned about the inner workings of the firm. This was followed by an engaging ‘speed networking’ session where students interacted with a diverse group of Bain Capital colleagues. They received first-hand insights into various financial roles, career paths, and the day-to-day operations of an investment firm.
In addition to the educational experiences, students enjoyed a generous helping of pizza. The visit not only broadened their understanding of the finance industry but also inspired many to consider careers in this dynamic field.
