February has been a fantastic month for basketball and netball teams across the school.
Our year 8 boys’ basketball team performed excellently against Norlington – cementing their position at top of the league (playing 4 and winning all of them). They now await a semi-final to retain the status as the Waltham Forest Champions.
The year 11 girls’ basketball team won their 4th Waltham Forest championships beating Chingford 19-13 in the final! The girls have won the competition each year that it has run in their time here at Lammas. Congratulations on a great achievement!
Our new year 7 girls’ netball team took part in a rally at Redbridge Sports Centre & they rose to the occasion brilliantly! Winning many of their games and receiving praise from teachers at other schools! We look forward to what this team will achieve in the future!
The year 7 girls’ basketball team narrowly missed out on victory in the final last week but worked exceptionally hard to reach this point. We are excited to see these girls go from strength to strength in the future!
The year 8 boys’ basketball team beat Holy Family in the Waltham Forest final to retain their status as borough champions for the second year running!
